Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

You will actively contribute to the technical development of our site and implement forward-looking automation projects from the initial concept through to commissioning.

TASKS:

• Automation concepts: Development and optimisation of control and automation solutions for our production facilities.
• Project implementation: Planning and execution of automation projects – from defining requirements and technical specifications through to commissioning.
• Programming and integration: Development, adaptation and standardisation of PLC, HMI and process control system solutions, as well as integration of sensors, actuators and interfaces.
• Technical optimisation: Analysis of plant and process data, identification of sustainable improvements and support in solving complex technical issues.
• Collaboration and documentation: Coordination with Production, Maintenance, HSE, external partners and suppliers, as well as maintenance of technical documentation in compliance with all relevant standards.

REQUIREMENTS PROFILE:

• Degree (minimum Bachelor’s degree) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable qualification, e.g. a state-certified technician or master craftsperson qualification
• Professional experience in industrial automation and, ideally, in the planning or implementation of technical projects within a production environment
• Sound knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, as well as experience with plant operator interfaces and programming in the areas of drive, measurement and control technology
• Structured and solution-oriented approach to work, strong analytical skills and a good understanding of production processes
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics effectively with internal departments and external partners
• Very good written and spoken German skills (at least B2 level) and good English skills for working in an international environment
• Willingness to support commissioning activities and technical assignments outside regular working hours when required
